Turning Rock Partners is a principal investment firm focused on alternative investments. The firm specializes in value-oriented, opportunistic investments with a measure of downside protection. Underlying investments can include corporate debt, corporate equity and other special situations or privately negotiated financings or asset purchases involving cash flowing North American lower and mid-market companies.
Turning Rock is looking for a Fund Accountant to work with our Accounting and Operations Team in our New York City Office.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
o Assist with Cash Management, including Cash Availability, Forecasting/Projecting Capital Calls and Distributions
o Review IRR calculations, Valuation of investments, oversee carried interest calculations and Management Fee process, Credit Facility management and calculations.
o Work on various compliance and regulatory reporting such as Form PF, FAR Reporting, Form ADV, CIMA, FACTA.
o Reviewing quarterly reporting to investors including investor capital statements, ILPA fee analysis
o Preparing management requests, investor requests, confirms.
o Partnering with Investment Servicing on marketing materials, internal and external information requests.
o Assist Investment Team on investment closing process, fund flow analysis, and credit agreements
o Work alongside fund administrator and other related service providers.
The Value You Deliver
o Aiding team on monthly and quarterly review of books and records prepared by the Funds Administrator, including accrual and expense analysis, investors allocation, quarterly and monthly interest and dividend calculations.
o Assisting with annual audits, review quarterly financial statements and annual audited financial statements.
Knowledge, Skills, And/Or Abilities
o General understanding of partnership accounting
o Strong familiarity with reading and interpreting rules and regulations
o Cobalt or Investran experience preferred
Education And/Or Experience
o 1-3 years relevant Fund experience, prior partnership accounting or public accounting experience preferred
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
o CPA designation, or is in the process of completing their CPA designation
